Acerca de José Manuel
I am a native Spanish speaker with Chilean and Spanish nationality and many years of experience teaching languages. I trained as a TESOL teacher in London and continued my professional development through specialised studies with the University of London.
Having lived in Chile, Spain and the United Kingdom, I understand language learning as both a practical and cultural experience. I have taught adults from different backgrounds and particularly enjoy helping learners overcome insecurity, organise their knowledge and communicate with greater confidence.
I am patient, attentive and genuinely interested in how each person learns. Teaching Spanish allows me to combine my professional experience with my interest in language, culture and meaningful human communication.

My lessons are designed around each student’s goals, interests and learning pace. I use a communicative approach, combining guided conversation with vocabulary, listening, reading and grammar in meaningful contexts. Rather than simply memorising rules, students learn how Spanish works and use it with a clear purpose.
As a native Spanish speaker and an experienced TESOL-trained language teacher, I understand both the challenges of learning another language and the importance of building confidence. I can explain difficult points in English when helpful and gradually encourage greater use of Spanish.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes. Lessons are available online for adult learners at all levels, whether you are learning Spanish for travel, everyday communication, personal enrichment or greater conversational confidence.
