Acerca de Eva
„In every human being there is something worth being seen and presented“, this motto from my background of traveling, theatrepedagogy and acting sums up my quality being your english teacher. My name is Eva, I am originally from Germany and besides german and english I speak spanish. I will give you the space and encouragement to speak and make mistakes in order to learn, making you comfortable with expressing yourself so that you really get your fluency going, being comfortable to challenge yourself speaking english and grow. Having worked with people from different backgrounds and personal traits in theatre pedagogy and having played Shakespeare in its original language and having had voice classes in which teachers taught me english phonetics and pronunciation from scratch, a language I thought I already knew, I am familiar with the insecurities and challenges of learning a language on various levels, from getting to know cultures through travelling whilst communicating with strangers and becoming friends to analyse why Shakespeare expressed Romeo’s love for Juliet in english in that way and no other, I interacted in english in various ways and it became part of my system which opened so many doors in my life that I wouldn’t want my students to miss and I hope it will enrich their lives as much as it did mine. I will give my best to keep lessons light, positive with a spark of sense of humour while professionally provide you with the skills you need.

We will talk about your background in english and why you want and need to take english classes. If you already know the basics in english I will firstly prepare you a quiz that will help us understand what to work on next. Together we will discuss the points that need improvement, do some exercises on that and then repeat the quiz, so that you feel encouraged to learn from your mistakes and have a futur prospect and motivation for the issues of then next class. More than anything, my work with children besides the useful materials I will provide will be based on visual materials, objects and games, role-play, a lot of peer-to-peer communication. From my observation in theatrepedagogy children want to learn naturally and you cannot force children to be interested in something they are not. Encouraging their natural curiosity and interests is key!
