With more than ten years experience and a master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), I have taught all five English language skills: Speaking, listening, writing, reading and vocabulary. My students come from diverse cultures, language groups, and parts of the world. They consistently express how much they value my teaching for the comfortable, patient and encouraging atmosphere I create. Remember, your learning goals are my goals and I keep them front and center as we discover how you best learn.

I want English to come alive for you! All ages and skill levels are welcome.
I specialize in creating enjoyable, customized lessons by getting to know you as an individual and learning where your specific strengths and challenges lie. I start by asking for your English language needs, goals, and history as I find this information can make a huge impact on how to best design your classes (learning experience).
By teaching you through daily life materials (shows, music, stories) as well as structured exercises/worksheets, you’ll be able to apply what you learn in order to make English personally meaningful. In addition, I find that integrating cultural information, both your own culture and that of the U.S., will help you retain what you learn in class more easily. As well, by depending on your stronger skills to support your weaker ones, we together will build greater moments of student satisfaction and success.
